Sierra T9 5-Speed Gearbox

We have available the popular Sierra T9 5-speed gearbox suitable for Escorts, 4-cylinder Cortinas, 4-cylinder and V6 Capris and kit cars (widely used in the PRB Clubman).

Having sold over 1000 gearboxes we have found this to be a simple conversion. In the Escort, for example, they can utilize the standard clutch, clutch cable, starter motor, and tail shaft. The only modifications to the car are the location of the hole for the gearshift and to the gearbox mount location.

These gearboxes are available in various forms from a straight second hand box to a fully reconditioned box and beyond to full race specifications with straight cut gears, dog engagement and sequential shifters

We offer this Quick shift option to suit the 5 speed gearbox. This shifter features a short lever throw for quicker gear changes, a spherical bearing to ensure a smooth, positive action and a hardened, one piece lever for extra strength.
